TOTI is an innovative solution in the construction landscape, being a single-use formwork made of recycled polypropylene, ideal for the construction of foundation plates and reinforced concrete slabs. Its versatility allows single or double use, with the possibility of fitting two elements together thanks to the side fins that allow you to fix the elements at the desired distance.

This system offers different options for the thickness of the ceiling: it can be used with only the upper hood or, using conical feet, allows the realization of ceilings with reinforced concrete slabs of different thicknesses both higher and lower.

The immersion of TOTI cassettes in concrete casting allows to obtain a lattice of orthogonal beams closed above and below from a flat plate, generating sections resistant to “T” or “I” depending on the configuration of the ceiling. This solution is particularly advantageous for structural solutions with bidirectional behaviour, which can reduce stresses and deformations.

TOTI is available in different sizes, both for single and double use, offering a wide range to adapt to the different design needs. Thanks to its versatility and optimal performance, TOTI is an ideal choice for foundation floors, allowing significant savings in concrete compared to traditional solutions with the same static performance.

PLATEE: Ideal for the construction of platees, the system offers a significant saving of concrete compared to traditional “plates” while maintaining high level static performance. It is particularly advantageous compared to plinth solutions, as it eliminates the need for connecting beams between foundations, greatly simplifying the construction process. In addition, by replacing the existing flooring, it helps to optimise the overall efficiency and cost-effectiveness of the project.

Earthquake-resistant constructions with the Toti formwork

The SOLAI and the PLATEE of foundation made with the TOTI Loose Formwork fully comply with the provisions of the recent Technical Standards for Construction (D.M.14/01/2008)

Regarding the FLOORS, they meet all the general requirements concerning reinforced concrete structures, as well as the specifications related to floors (§4.1.9.2 for fully cast-in-situ floors and §4.1.9.3 for partially prefabricated ones). This allows for the design of floors characterised by ductility, deformability, and excellent capacity for redistributing seismic forces, while ensuring adequate in-plane rigidity.As for the FOUNDATION SLABS, their excellent static performance enables them to overcome the limitations and complexities of isolated foundations required in seismic zones. In fact, according to the new regulations, a connection between the footings is required, both for shallow and deep foundations, with the stipulation that this connection must occur within one metre of the footing’s placement level.

    Laying of the formwork to lose Toti

    Toti offers the flexibility to be installed individually or in dual configuration:

    • without the use of lifting feet, can be laid directly on the deck,
    • in the case of a single top hood, or with the addition of lifting feet if both the top and bottom hood are used.

    In the case of installation in double configuration, it is necessary to interlock the two cassettes, but thanks to the intuitive design, assembly is quick and simple, ensuring a watertight seal thanks to the coupling system.

    Construction of the underlay of the slab, both with traditional systems and with systems for early disassembly.

    Construction of the lower armor.

    Laying of the Toti casseri (there is no specific laying direction).

    Coupling the casters to each other at the desired distance using the lateral flap.

    Construction of the upper armor.

    Casting and vibrating concrete (Two casting stages are planned to be carried out within a short time. The first layer must completely immerse the conical legs in order to avoid floating of the elements due to a counter-thrust of the concrete. Once the concrete begins to catch and lose fluidity, will proceed with the completion jet).

    These specifications allow for the optimal customization of the height of the TOTI system according to the specific needs of the project, ensuring perfect integration with the scaffolding and stability.

    NOTE: In the case of use of TOTI with 5 cm P-foot, the S-height will be 7 cm. In the case of 8 cm P-foot, the S-height will be 10 cm and in the case of 10 cm P-foot, the S-height will be 12 cm. However, in the case of use of TOTI without 2 cm S-height will be 2 cm.
