Characteristics of

The Vespaio Svelto, made of recycled polypropylene, is a versatile solution for crawl spaces, cavities and ventilated floors, suitable for all types of construction, whether new or under renovation.

Characterised by a square design (56×56 – 58×58 cm), it offers a modular interlocking system for easy installation on a concrete foundation.

After the electrowelded mesh has been laid and the concrete has been poured, the Vespaio Svelto forms pillars that guarantee the strength of the floor, evenly distributing the loads over the entire surface. If necessary, it can be shaped and completed with the FERMOPLAST accessory, ensuring effective closure and avoiding waste during concrete pouring.

Thanks to its structure, the Vespaio Svelto creates an air chamber under the ground floor, allowing perfect ventilation and improving room comfort. In addition, it acts as a barrier against rising damp from the ground and prevents the accumulation of radon gas, ensuring a waterproof and safe floor.

Its hollow shape allows the easy passage of underground technological installations and networks in all directions, facilitating inspections and possible modifications over time. Adaptable also in seismic areas, by connecting the electro-welded mesh to perimeter beams, it offers greater resistance and stability to the entire structure.

Available in different sizes:

cm 10 – 15 – 20 – 25 (58×58 cm – 3 pcs/sqm)

cm 27 – 30 – 35 – 40 – 45 – 50 (56×56 cm – 3.2 pcs/sqm).

Il vespaio pavimento, conosciuto anche come “Vespaio aerato” o “Cassero per vespaio areato” nel settore edilizio, rappresenta la soluzione ottimale per la realizzazione di pavimenti, sia in contesti di costruzioni nuove che di ristrutturazioni di edifici civili e industriali.

The floor under-floor cavity, also known as an ‘aerated cavity’ or ‘aerated crawl space formwork’ in the construction industry, is the optimal solution for creating floors in both new construction and renovation contexts for civil and industrial buildings.

Placed on top of a lean concrete foundation, the under-floor cavity formwork provides a robust base for the concrete casting. This system generates pillars that, once the concrete is mature, evenly distribute loads over the entire surface, ensuring optimal floor strength.

The aeration of the underfloor cavity plays a key role as a sanitary vacuum, creating a vapour barrier for the floor. Thanks to its aerated structure and externally connected pipes, the floor cavity promotes the elimination of Radon gas, contributing to a safe and healthy indoor environment.

Made from recycled plastic material, the polypropylene one-way formwork is a sustainable choice that saves emissions. Its spherical shell shape ensures optimal mechanical strength with minimal concrete thickness, allowing significant savings in the materials used. This feature also facilitates the identification of the section with the minimum concrete thickness, allowing effective control of shrinkage cracking.

    Laying the ventilated crawl space

    The interlocking system of the SVELTO VESPAIO offers fast and intuitive installation. The elements are arranged from top to bottom and from left to right, completing one row at a time. The directional arrows on the element must be oriented upwards and to the left, as shown in the reference image.

    Ventilated vespaio Fermoplast

    Fermoplast is a polypropylene slab designed to close the formwork, allowing the simultaneous creation of the slab and foundation beams with a single cast of concrete. This accessory is also compatible with TOP 4S and MAGNUM systems.

    Its installation is quick and simple, and it can be easily adapted to the passage of pipes and plants by means of a common cutter. Compared to traditional procedures, it offers the possibility of reducing up to 80% the time required for the realization of foundations.
