MAXI TUBES is a modular system for the construction of vaults, aerated floors and storage or dispersion tanks in a wide range of contexts, both civil and industrial. This tube system is used when the depth of the vespaio does not allow the use of traditional casters.

Modular and versatile, MAXI TUBES is used in the creation of vaults, ventilated floors, interspaces and in the construction and renovation of buildings of various kinds. It is particularly suitable for the construction of rainwater dispersion or storage tanks, usable for fire fighting systems, irrigation or other applications not related to the use of drinking water.

The MAXI TUBES system is the ideal solution when the height of the vespaio does not allow the use of traditional monobloc casseri, or when special or variable measures are required, as in the case of inclined planes or multi-level surfaces.

When the depth of the vespaio does not allow the use of traditional monobloc casseri or when special or variable measures are required, such as in the case of inclined planes or multi-level surfaces, the MAXI TUBES system is the ideal choice.

This innovative system is composed of three main components:

A square-shaped formwork with a height of 20 cm and dimensions of 58 x 58 cm, equipped with a locking system that allows the modular overlapping of the elements.
A 3 cm support foot, which serves as the base for the tube.
A tube with a diameter of 125 mm.

The installation of MAXI TUBES is generally carried out on a thin concrete substrate, with a thickness that varies according to the application. After the installation of a suitable welded mesh and the reinforcing bars for the pillars, during the casting of concrete, pillars with constant diameter are formed. These pillars, once matured, guarantee the strength of the floor and the uniform distribution of loads on the entire surface.

Thanks to its spherical dome shape, the canopy allows the structure to be worked in arc, allowing maximum mechanical strength with minimum concrete thickness, while guaranteeing a considerable saving of materials. The spherical shape of the shell facilitates the identification of the section of minimum thickness of the concrete, allowing the realization of the necessary contraction joints for the control of the cracks from withdrawal.

With a maximum height of 300 cm, the MAXI TUBES system adapts to different construction needs, offering reliable performance and a solid basis for the realization of quality floors and aerated structures.

MAXI TUBES, the canopy for vespai, is usually laid on a base of lean concrete, whose density varies according to the specific requirements of the application. After having properly prepared a welded mesh and the reinforcing bars for the pillars, during the concrete casting phase numerous pillars with uniform diameter are formed. Once the concrete has reached full maturity, these pillars become essential to determine the overall strength of the floor, ensuring a homogeneous distribution of loads over the entire surface.

Thanks to its spherical shell structure, the ventilated formwork allows the structure to work in an arched way, relying exclusively on the compression of the concrete. This allows to obtain an optimal mechanical resistance with a minimum thickness of concrete, while guaranteeing a significant saving of materials.

The spherical shape of the shell facilitates the identification of the smallest section thickness of the concrete, facilitating the precise realization of the contraction joints necessary to control the shrinkage cracks.

    Laying of the formwork and tube for vespaie

    The modular formwork system offers a quick and intuitive installation. After assembling the tubes with the feet, it is enough to follow a simple sequence: start from top to bottom and from left to right, completing one row at a time.
    The directional arrows on the MAXI TUBES formwork provide a clear visual orientation, with one facing up and the other facing left (as shown in the image).
    Thanks to this clear and intuitive laying procedure, MAXI TUBES proves to be an almost immediate solution for the creation of quality aerated floors.
